Could it be, is it really true? Is this newly discovered island in fact a reservoir of treasure and gold? Determined to find the fortune that undoubtedly awaits, our hero takes the risk and ventures deep into this inhospitable land. But suddenly the sky turns black and there is sound of cannon fire and battle cries in the distance. Maybe this treasure hunt was not such a good idea after all?
lyrics
Lyrics
Fields of green as far as eyes can see
Our arrival finally
The struggle and the search for pride and glory
Across the open mountain side
Through the forest dark we ride
Behind shattered walls in caves and ruins we'll find
Caught deep in the age of exploration
A search for the truth
Our quest, fearless and brave, without hesitation
To seek wealth and youth
We pave our way through this place
Strangers approaching, we can hear them call
Man the cannons to fight once and for all
What is this unknown place
And how do I escape
As we ride the crest of a massive ocean wave
I see a dark cloud straight ahead
And we brace ourselves again
A beam of light before my eyes
I wake up in a cloudy desert land
Lost and clueless in a sea of sand
Caught deep in a state of desolation
I search for the shoreline
So fearless and brave
Could I have been dreaming?
Caught deep in the age of exploration
I escape from this isle
My quest, fearless and brave, percieved innovation
I was lost in my mind
Illusions emerge uncontrolled

To me, this is a milestone in progressive metal. Everything on this record is so good on so many levels. Composition, arrangements, rhythmic patterns, chord progressions, riffs, melodies, solos, tones, textures, sound... What a masterpiece! Ricardo Pinto
